Our
Story

Get to Know Us

Full Stack Basics was built by a teacher and a software engineer who were tired of watching beginners struggle alone.

We believe anyone can learn to code when the process is broken into clear, human-sized steps. Our courses use a pair-programming-inspired approach, combining plain-English explanations, guided implementation, and steady repetition to help concepts stick.

Our goal is simple: remove overwhelm, replace confusion with clarity, and help learners build the confidence to move from “I don’t get it” to “I can do this.”

Hi,

I'm Carlos.

Carlos is the technical backbone of Full Stack Basics — a solutions architect with a deep love for breaking complex systems into simple, practical steps.

With years of experience designing, building, and shipping real-world software, he brings industry clarity to every lesson. His teaching style is grounded in plain English, real examples, and a calm, no-pressure approach that helps beginners feel safe asking questions.

Carlos specializes in helping learners understand why code works, not just how to type it — turning intimidating concepts into something logical, predictable, and genuinely empowering.

I'm Amanda.

Hello there,

Amanda is the learning architect behind Full Stack Basics — an educator with over a decade of experience helping beginners feel capable, confident, and grounded as they learn something new.

She specializes in breaking down complex ideas into clear, human-sized steps, using learning science, cognitive load strategies, and thoughtful pacing to help concepts stick. Her presence in every lesson brings the heart, the structure, and the supportive environment beginners need to actually thrive.

At FSB, Amanda represents the learner’s voice — the questions real beginners ask, the pace real humans need, and the reassurance that learning tech doesn’t have to feel overwhelming.
